Shabhalep - Crispy Meat Dumplings

Shabhalep is deep fried pastries/bread stuffed with minced meat and spices. It is crispy Meat Dumpling mostly eaten by tibetan people. In Tibet, the most common meat would be yak meat, which is a bit leaner and stronger tasting than beef.

1/2 - 1 tea spoon |

Method:-

Prepare straight dough and rest it.

Add all the ingredient for stuffing and rest if for a while

Heat oil ( 1/2 litre ) for deep frying.

Make palm sized flat dough.
For Stuffing:-

Mix minced meat ( Buff , chicken, pork ) with chopped onion, garlic paste, meat masala, pepper corn, salt, spring onion, and 1 table spoon oil.

Put 1 table spoon oil in a pre-heated pan and fry the mixed stuffing till It is cooked 80%.

Put the stuffing on roti, fold it and give it a shabhalep shape.

Deep fry it in a hot oil till the crust gets golden brownish colour.

Serve with hot sauce for delicious taste.
