Tourists are not allowed to walk alone in the Everest region. The police said that since the tourists who came from different countries to visit the Everest region go on a trek alone, they have been strictly restricted. Sunil Jang Shah, Chief of Police and Deputy Superintendent of Police, District Police Office Solukhumbu, said that this rule has been strictly enforced since the disappearance of 2 foreign tourists who visited Khumbu area on May 5th, 2022.
A companion is mandatory for visiting the area above the Namche Police Station because after reaching the high Himalayan region, you will get sick, and suffer from various disasters.
